Sea Salt Spray Hair Type Beach Waves

Summer sea salt hair and the beautiful beachy waves that come with it is, year in year out, the one and only accessory you need come the warmer weather. But while some of us have the luxury of spending all day every day beachside, perfecting our beachy waves, others have to sit inside working away.

But that’s where we come in. We’re going to show you exactly how to get summer style beachy waves all by yourself with our DIY summer sea salt hairspray. It’s quick, it’s easy, and let’s just say it’s almost better than the real deal.

Make It Yourself

Once you’ve got all the ingredients together, the hardest part is over. So here’s how to do the tough part.

You’ll need:

++ 2 cups of hot water

++ 1 teaspoon of salt

++ 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

++ 1 teaspoon of hair gel

++ Empty spray bottle

Combine all the ingredients into the spray bottle and shake, shake, shake until its all mixed together. Make sure everything has dissolved properly, you don’t want chunks of the oil or hair gel to be blocking your spray bottle. Just keep on shaking until it’s good to go.

Do It Yourself

Wet your hair and towel dry it before doing anything else. Once you’ve given your hair a good dry (if its still damp that’s good! You don’t want it to be completely dry) then start to spray your sea salt spray into your hair, scrunching as you go.

Keep spraying all through your hair, twisting, scrunching and twirling it together to get the ‘beachy waves’ look. Once you feel like you’ve got enough mixture in your hair, braid it into sections or tie it up in a high bun and let it dry fully.

Leaving it in braids or a bun will get it that extra curly, bouncy look. Once all dry, let it out, run your fingers through your hair and voila! DIY sea salt hair and beachy waves, easy as pie.
