Happy B Corp Month! ♻️

It's B Corp month this July, we take a deeper look at what B Corp Certification really means to GlamCorner and how you can actively take part in celebrating with us.

What a B Corp Certification means for GlamCorner

What is the purpose of B Corp?

Certified B Corporations (B Corps) are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. B Corps meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As a B Corp, GlamCorner believes protecting people and the planet is good business. This is not just a label – it’s real change.

How is B Corp assessed?

The B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how a company’s operations and business model impact its workers, community, environment, and customers.

View GlamCorner’s Full Impact Score here.To put it in simple terms, B Corp is an efficient way of testing the environmental quality of products and services within the GlamCorner brand. It’s no secret that GlamCorner prides itself on a strong sustainable background; by identifying the harmful impacts of the fashion industry and working towards finding an alternative solution through a multi-use fashion rental program, GlamCorner has undoubtedly changed the game.

How often is B Corp reviewed?

The B Corp reassessment process takes place every 2 years. This allows GlamCorner the opportunity to further improve social and environmental awareness in tandem with future growth and development. The key to our success is revolutionising the way people can and should shop to help create a sustainable fashion industry.

Becoming part of the B Corp community

GlamCorner joins a league of B Corps including Patagonia, BioPak, and Koala to support a community of people using business as a tool for good. We believe our mission is in reducing waste in the fashion industry. We believe there is a better way to consume fashion. It’s renting instead of buying. The UN recently declared (1)Source: UN Forum Says Fashion Industry an Environmental Emergencythe current fashion industry as a “social emergency”. This is especially alarming as fashion consumption continues to grow year after year (2)Source: Style that’s sustainable: A new fast-fashion formula– the number of garments produced annually has doubled since 2000 and exceeded 100 billion for the first time in 2014; nearly 14 items of clothing for every person on earth.

What is B Corp month?

This July, B Corps across Australia and New Zealand will be hosting a month-long campaign to show how they are doing well – by doing good. It’s a celebration of the B corp motto “Better Business for a Better World’’. As a proud B Corp organisation since 2018, we want to share our story with you and what makes us a B Corp you can trust.
