GlamCorner is now proudly B Corp Certified
We’re so very proud to update our customers that GlamCorner has now officially received B Corp Certification. In achieving this coveted certification, we are joining an emerging group of for-profit companies that are using the power of business to create a positive impact on the world and generate a shared and durable prosperity for all.
In case you haven’t come across B Corp certification just yet, it is to businesses what Fair Trade certification is to coffee: B Corps are certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
So with this stamp of approval, we can give our customers confidence that when you shop with us you know we are upholding the highest socially responsible standards across our supply chain, community and environmental impact.
With the ongoing support of our customers, we’re joining some amazing other B Corps including Patagonia, Warby Parker and The Honest Company to support a community of people using business as a tool for good – and in particular for GlamCorner, reducing waste in the Fashion & Apparel industry.
So what is the B-Corp movement all about?
B Corp is a growing community of more than 2,000 Certified B Corporations in over 130 industries and 50 countries with 1 unifying goal! That goal is to redefine success in business by not just being the best in the world, but also to be the best for the world .

How GlamCorner became a Certified B Corporation
To become a Certified B Corporation we had to undertake what is known as the B Impact Assessment. This assessment measured our company to others across a range of credible, comprehensive, transparent, and independent standards of social and environmental performance that allows businesses to assess their overall impact. The ultimate purpose of this assessment is to ensure that the philosophy of each company is aligned to that of the goals and purpose of B Corp.
All certified B Corporations have undertaken the B Impact Assessment, scored over 80, and have signed a term sheet that declares that they will consider all stakeholders. It is a rigorous assessment that explores a company’s governance, transparency, environmental and social impact. B Corps voluntarily hold themselves to a higher level of accountability in these areas.

And we made it! Woot! Elements of our application such as GlamCorner being the largest recycler of online retailing packaging in the country in 2017 via our Partnership with Terracycle definitely helped too ????
What does becoming a Certified B Corporation mean for GlamCorner?
In gaining B Corp certification, we have now joined a community of businesses in support of one unifying goal, to make the world a better place by understanding the positive impact of our business on the planet. And the more we grow, the more amplified our positive impact becomes!
It also means that we are proud to make it official that we take the impact our business has on our environment and community seriously. We acknowledge that the global Fashion & Apparel industry has a lot of work to do to reduce its environmental footprint (see our Sustainable Revolution post here) and we know that fashion rental can have a hugely positive impact on reversing this trend by reducing excess-manufacturing and over-consumption in this industry by allowing Australian women to collectively share our massive designer wardrobe.
