Hens Party Dress Hire in Brisbane – Customer Story

Our gorgeous customer Sharni recently chose to hire our Grace & Hart ‘Center Stage Flare Midi‘, a beautiful knee length number crafted out of an Ivory sheer lace with a paisley bodice and embroidery feature on the front of the flared skirt, for her Mexi / Glam themed Hens Party. Here she shares her rental experience:

Tell us about the special occasion you had and why you wanted to wear a designer dress for it?

My special occasion was my Hens Party! It was the perfect event to treat myself to some designer threads without breaking the wedding budget. Everything about the day was a big surprise for me so the white lace number was a great option to fit with whatever theme the bridesmaids had chosen. The theme ended up being Mexi/Glam in honour of my honeymoon being in Tulum, Mexico. Once the girls added the Mexican style flower crown they had made for me I was ready for the Mexican fiesta!

What was it about this occasion that made renting a dress so appealing for you?

I loved being able to wear such an amazing dress without the normal huge price tag. Especially this close to the wedding when every penny counts. Plus you only have your Hens Party once (hopefully!) so it made sense to go all out.

Tell us about the dress and the designer label you chose, and why you chose it?

This Grace and Hart dress caught my eye the first time I perused the GlamCorner website. All the Grace and Hart dresses on the site are beautiful and I just knew this one was exactly what I needed for my Hens Party weekend. I had never worn the label before but was so impressed by the quality and lace details. One of my best friends Lucinda Wolber did the artwork for the personalised menus and with my white dress on I looked exactly like the illustration. It was meant to be!

Have you rented a dress before or was this your first time? For your first time renting a dress, what made you consider it?

This was my first time renting a dress and I absolutely loved it. One of my bridesmaids had rented a dress from GlamCorner for a work ball and told me how easy and great it was, so I decided to give it a go.

Tell us about how you first discovered GlamCorner?

I’m pretty sure GlamCorner popped up on my Facebook feed one day. Once I clicked on the link I was amazed by the wide range of dresses and designers available. I thought to myself to keep the site in mind for the next big event that I would need a new dress for.

How was your overall experience with GC (online and offline) and would you recommend us to other women?

The whole experience was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t fault it. The dresses arrived days before they were due so I had plenty of time to try them on. I changed my mind about the backup dress I wanted to order a week before they were due to arrive and the customer service was so friendly. They happily swapped the dress to another one for me. They arrived in a lovely big box all wrapped up and in excellent condition. It was also no hassle to pop into the post office on my way to work to return them on the Monday. I will definitely be hiring many more dresses in the future!
