In the fall of 2000, Michael Glasse, Peter Koral, and Jerome Dahan founded 7 For All Mankind with the intention of creating luxury denim that still felt casual and approachable. They were inspired by the lack of high-end denim options available and aimed to change the denim industry by combining premium materials with the laid-back charm of denim. The brand was born in Los Angeles and remains rooted there today. The founders believed that fabric innovation, exceptional fit, and attention to detail were essential to creating a luxury garment, and they applied these principles to denim to transform it from a workwear staple to a covetable fashion item.
Glasse, Koral, and Dahan's vision for denim changed the way people wore jeans, making them suitable for a wide variety of occasions. By using high-quality materials and creating polished silhouettes with intricate stitchwork, they paved the way for the premium denim sector, with 7 For All Mankind leading the way. The brand introduced men's denim in 2002 and a kids' range in 2005, quickly gaining a following and earning the nickname "Sevens." The iconic back-pocket "squiggle" became a symbol of insider style knowledge, with fashion editors, stylists, and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Prince Harry all embracing 7 For All Mankind jeans.
