Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta, born Óscar Arístides Renta Fiallo, was a fashion designer from the Dominican Republic. He gained worldwide recognition for dressing Jacqueline Kennedy, becoming one of the notable couturiers of the time. Prior to this, he apprenticed under Cristóbal Balenciaga, whom he regarded as a mentor.
